We always love to start our concert season with our wonderful Londonderry High School Jazz Ensembles and Rock Orchestra. This is such a special evening, as it is the last concert for the LHS graduating seniors. We think that is one reason why you can feel the energy the students put into this concert every year. Bad weather venue - Matthew Thornton Gym

Last year Neurotic Gumbo was a huge hit! Folks were up and dancing to the classic rock tunes this large horn band performed. Gumbo has been playing together for many years, and have a set list of great classic rock hits. You’ll hear Chicago, Santana, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Motown hits…the list goes on. And the musicianship is incredible! Come enjoy a fantastic concert with this great band!

Bad weather venue - Because of Juneteenth observance, in case of bad weather the concert will be delayed to Thursday, June 20th on the Common. However, if it's still bad weather on June 20th, the concert will move indoors to the Londonderry High School Cafeteria.

We have our favorite bluesman and band - Brian Templeton and the Delta Generators - back again this year. This will be Brian’s twelfth performance at Concerts on the Common, and we ask him to come back each year for a reason! Every one of these musicians is absolutely top notch. Singer Brian Templeton, once a Londonderry resident, commands over 40 years as a stalwart presence in Boston’s formidable music scene. His credits include the legendary band the Radio Kings and the Original House of Blues Blue Monday Band. The other members of this rockin’ band - Charlie, Jeff and Rick - bring the same level of talent. Head over to the Common to enjoy this super-talented band!

After cultivating her dynamic voice and performance skills in backup roles and stage plays, Joslyn Hampton teamed with her stepfather, Marty Charters (a touring guitarist and songwriter who has shared the stage with legends such as Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, and Van Morrison), to compose a captivating set of tunes and assemble an ace band. Joslyn & The Sweet Compression (Kasym Moldogaziev- Guitar, Isaac Stephens - Trumpet, Tyler Papierniak - bass, Rashawn Fleming - drums, Trevin Little - saxophone, and Sam Richardson - Keyboard) combine to deliver a hook-filled mix of funk and soul on their self-titled debut album, released in 2019. A headlining favorite at regional clubs and music festivals, they are poised to engage fans across the country with widespread touring in 2024.

Boston-based band Couch infuses pop with funk, rock, and R&B/soul. Their vibrant sound is further defined by the members’ backgrounds in jazz, a cappella, and musical theatre. 

Until Spring 2021, Couch members were scattered across the country at various universities; they tackled the challenges of being a “long-distance” band, writing and even recording virtually for three years. Despite these challenges, they celebrated the release of their debut EP, “COUCH,” in February 2021 as well as three new singles and a headline tour in 2022.

In 2023, Couch released their sophomore EP, Sunshower, accompanied by an eponymous 20-city national tour, performances at Boston Calling and Levitate, and a sold-out UK tour.

This will be the ninth year that Brian and his awesome band will perform for us, and what a treat this is going to be! Along with Brian, a fantastic singer and keyboard player, his incredibly talented wife MaryBeth sings like you wouldn’t believe. The musicians in the band are just the best - you must hear them. Chicago Total Access is a music group made up of 10 talented musicians which all grew up listening to the music of the 60s and 70s. The group is dedicated to the music of the American rock band “Chicago”. There is no other American Rock ‘n Roll band with horns that has influenced more musicians, is loved by millions of people worldwide and has become such a deep part of Americana as the band Chicago. Since 1967, 57 years of sold out concerts, millions of record sales and legions of cheering fans worldwide Chicago is still going strong in 2024. The members of Chicago Total Access have attempted to recreate a slice of the timeless musical catalog of Chicago as well as stay true to the spirit of the original recordings. We know you will enjoy their efforts! The liner notes of Chicago’s first recording titled “The Chicago Transit Authority” still inspire this tribute band:

The incredibly talented duo of Jilly Martin and Ryan Brooks Kelly have become the next must-see act from New England to Nashville. Standouts in today’s crossover country music scene, Jilly & Ryan’s songs bridge the boundary between traditional and new country. They’ve made their mark with highly-acclaimed original music and are winning over audiences each and every time they perform. Jilly and Ryan’s compelling song-writing, dynamic vocal harmonies and stunning musicianship have them poised for a breakthrough in the music industry. For our Old Home Days concert, we have a real treat. The Beatles tribute band Studio Two will be returning to perform for us! Studio Two is a headlining Beatles band that pays tribute to the early Beatles, choosing songs from their club and touring years. These are the songs that fans actually saw them play in concert!

Featuring graduates from Berklee College of Music and Beatles devotees, Studio Two band mates met in a “cellar full of noise” in a town slightly west of Liverpool (Milford, New Hampshire) to pay homage to the greatest rock band of all time.

Band members are experienced musicians of today’s generation dedicated to preserving the memory and fan culture of The Beatles generation.

By recreating the Fab Four’s music, appearance, instruments, and onstage banter, Studio Two performs your most favorite hits that will bring people to the dance floor.
