Leach Library Featured Artist
Each month, the Londonderry Arts Council hosts an exhibit of original work by local artists at the Leach Library (276 Mammoth Road in Londonderry). Artwork is displayed on easels in the reception area and reading nook areas, or in a glass display case across from the front desk. We aim to highlight the talent in our community and provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about local art. Many artists also display their contact information and welcome inquiries about their pieces.
We currently have several openings in 2024, so please check out the 2024 schedule below and specify which available month you’d like to display. All months in 2025 are currently open so you are welcome to indicate which months next year are best for you in the submission form. All Library Artist displays must adhere to the Londonderry Community Standards for Public Art. See more details about displaying your work below.

SCHEDULE– Each featured artist will display their work for a month. Another duration of time may be possible by special arrangement with LAC and the library and cannot always be accommodated. You may request a specific month if it is available Priority will be given to artists who are Londonderry residents and/or artists who have not exhibited in the library in the last calendar year.
NUMBER OF PIECES — Each month, the featured artist will have the opportunity to exhibit on the 9 easels available that are located throughout the adult section in the library. Alternatively, artists may display in a four-shelved locked glass display case near the library’s front desk. Use of display case will require an additional form.
SIZE — Please note that the library will not allow pieces larger than 4 feet tall, as the easel clamps must be engaged to secure your art. All work must be completely dried.
LABELS — Print labels with the title of artwork, artist name, artist contact information and medium may be placed visible to the public (prices are not permitted on these labels).
BUSINESS CARDS & RESUMES — Artists may leave business cards on each of the easel for patrons to pick up. Artist may also leave a resume at the front desk as patrons often request more info on the artist.
INVENTORY — Exhibiting artist will supply the library with an inventory sheet. This will be emailed to you and/or provided at the library.
SALES & COMMISSION — Artist will handle the sale. A small percentage of the sale donated to the library would be appreciated.
LIABILITY — Artist will be required to sign a release of liability statement with the library. Use of display case requires an additional inventory form.
PICK-UP — Artist must pick up artwork by the last day of each month. Library hours: Mon. - Thurs. 9-8; Fri. and Sat. 9-5. These times may change seasonally so please check the library’s website for the most up-to-date hours. For security purposes, artist must show proof of identity when picking up paintings.
PUBLICITY —As our volunteer resources permit, LAC will promote your exhibit on our social media and blog.
